Accessibility Statement
Rebuilding your life is hard enough. Using Fresh Chapter shouldn't be.
Our commitment
Fresh Chapter aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is part of how we build and review every new screen, not a one-time audit.
What we've built in
- Full keyboard navigation, visible focus rings and skip-to-content behaviour.
- Semantic headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate reliably.
- Colour contrast targets of at least 4.5:1 for body text on our navy palette.
- Text that reflows and stays usable at 200% zoom and on small screens.
- Live captions and real-time translation during video sessions.
- Multi-language interface with automatic translation of community posts and messages.
- Alternative text on meaningful images and non-colour cues for status.
Known limitations
Some third-party components — payment forms, video calling and embedded advertising — are outside our direct control and may not fully meet AA. Machine translation and live captions can be imperfect. Older AI-generated article formatting is being reviewed for heading structure. We are working on each of these.
Need another format?
If a document, session summary or legal page isn't usable for you, ask and we will provide it in another format — large print, plain text or read aloud — at no cost.
Report a barrier
Tell us what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology you use. Reach us through the support center or the contact page. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix confirmed blockers as a priority.
In an emergency, use our crisis resources or call 911 or 988.
