Who you will be working with
Fresh Chapter members are adults in the middle of a hard chapter. Some are weeks into a separation and trying to work out how to tell their children. Some have been divorced for two years and are still carrying the shame of it. Others arrive burnt out from work, grieving a parent, co-parenting with someone difficult, rebuilding after a long illness, or simply exhausted by holding a family together on their own. They tell us what they are facing in their own words when they join, and we match them to coaches whose stated specialisms and available hours actually fit.
That means you are not paying for advertising and waiting for strangers to find you. A matched enquiry arrives with context: what the member is going through, what they hope to change, the time zone they live in, and the language they would rather work in. Most members begin with a paid 45-minute intro session at $49, so your first conversation is with someone who has already committed money and attention to the work.
Members can also join Fresh Chapter as free members or take a paid membership, which gives them tools, guided plans and community alongside coaching. Coaching sits at the centre of all of it, so the members who reach you have usually already done some reflecting before they book.
What we look for in an application
Every application is reviewed by a person. We check that your certification or clinical licence is real, current and issued by a body we can verify, and that the jurisdictions you list match the licence you hold. Licensed clinicians can coach members anywhere in the world, but may only provide therapy where they are licensed — we keep that boundary explicit on your profile so nobody is misled.
We also read your bio the way a member would. Applications that stall are usually the ones with two vague lines about "helping people thrive". Name the situations you have genuinely sat with, the approach you use, and who you are not the right coach for. That specificity is what makes a match land, and it is what members quote back when they decide to book you.
Approval is not a one-off gate. Once you are live, your profile, response times and member feedback all stay visible to you in your workspace, so you can see what is drawing enquiries and what needs rewriting.
How earnings work
You keep 70% of every session you deliver. The remaining 30% covers card processing, matching, secure video, translation, hosting and support. There is no listing fee, no monthly charge and no cost to receive enquiries, so the only time Fresh Chapter earns anything is when you have actually been paid.
Payouts run through Stripe Connect Express in your own name. You complete Stripe's onboarding once with the bank details for your country — IBAN across Europe, IFSC in India, local account details elsewhere — and earnings go straight to that account. You set your own ongoing session rate after the intro session; the $49 intro price is the only price Fresh Chapter sets for you.

Who can apply to coach on Fresh Chapter?
Certified life coaches and licensed clinicians who work with people navigating divorce, separation, co-parenting and other major life transitions. Coaching is offered platform-wide; licensed therapy is only offered in the jurisdictions where you hold an active licence, which you list during onboarding.
What happens after I apply?
You create an account, submit your credentials, and our team reviews them. Once approved you get a coach profile, a workspace with a calendar, notes and tasks, and you start receiving matched member requests in your inbox.
How do I get paid?
Payouts run through Stripe Connect Express. You complete Stripe's onboarding once — including bank details for your country — and payouts are sent to that account. International bank details such as IFSC for India and IBAN for Europe are supported.
Do I have to write every reply myself?
No. Every new member enquiry arrives with an AI-written draft reply already in your message box. You edit it, regenerate it, or approve and send it — nothing is ever sent to a member without your approval.
Was I already listed on Fresh Chapter?
If you worked with us before, your profile may already exist as an unclaimed account. Use the account claim page to verify your email and take ownership of it instead of applying from scratch.
How much of each session do I keep?
Coaches keep 70% of every session they deliver, and Fresh Chapter keeps 30% to cover card processing, matching, hosting, translation and support. Nothing is deducted for your profile, your workspace or the member enquiries we send you, and there is no monthly fee to be listed.
What is the $49 intro session?
Most members start with a paid 45-minute intro session priced at $49 so they can meet you before committing to ongoing work. It gives you a warm, already-paid first conversation instead of a free discovery call, and members who continue usually move on to your standard session rate.
How many hours a week does this take?
You set your own availability, and matching only sends you enquiries that fall inside the hours you have opened. Most coaches start with a few slots each week while they see how the flow of enquiries fits around their existing practice, then widen their calendar once they are comfortable.
Do I need my own website or client software?
No. Your Fresh Chapter profile is a public page you can share anywhere, and scheduling, secure video calls, messaging, session notes and payouts all run inside your coach workspace. Coaches who already have their own site simply link to it.
Can I coach members outside my own country?
Yes. Coaching is offered worldwide, sessions run over secure video, and members pay in their local currency. Licensed therapy is different: a clinician can only provide therapy to people located where they hold an active licence, though they can still work as a coach with members anywhere.
What if an application is declined?
We will tell you what was missing — usually an expired certification, an unverifiable credential or a profile with too little detail to match members against. You can correct it and reapply; a decline is not permanent.
