Provider Agreement

The terms you accept when you list as a coach or licensed provider on Fresh Chapter.

This agreement applies to every provider approved to appear in the Fresh Chapter directory. Accepting a client match, a booking or a payout confirms your acceptance of these terms alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Independent practitioner

You practice as an independent professional, not an employee, partner or agent of Fresh Chapter. You set your own hours, choose which clients you accept, and are responsible for your own taxes, insurance and any business registration your jurisdiction requires.

Credentials and verification

Everything you submit — name, credentials, licences, years of practice and specialties — must be accurate and current. Fresh Chapter reviews and approves every listing; you may not publish or self-approve your own profile. Notify us immediately if a licence lapses, is suspended or is subject to disciplinary action.

Scope of practice and jurisdiction

Licensed therapists are bound by the rules of the state or country where you are physically located during a session, so a clinician can only work with you where they hold a valid licence.

Life and expat coaching is not regulated the same way. Coaches can work with you across borders by video call because they focus on goals, transitions and daily adjustments — never on diagnosing or treating a mental health condition.

Coaches must not diagnose, treat or present themselves as licensed clinicians. Licensed providers must only see clients located where they hold a valid licence, and must keep their listed jurisdictions up to date.

Client safety and crisis situations

Fresh Chapter is not an emergency service. If a client expresses risk of harm to themselves or others, direct them to 911, 988 or their local emergency number and to our crisis resources, and follow the mandatory-reporting duties that apply to your licence.

Confidentiality and data handling

Client notes, messages and documents are confidential. Use only Fresh Chapter tools for session records; do not export, copy or store client information in unsecured systems, and do not use client information for marketing. Access is logged in an immutable audit trail. Delete-and-retention requests from clients are honoured through the platform.

Sessions, cancellations and conduct

Show up on time, keep your availability accurate, and give clients as much notice as possible when you must reschedule. Harassment, discrimination, romantic or sexual contact with a client, and any solicitation of clients off-platform to avoid fees are grounds for immediate removal.

Fees and payouts

Providers keep a revenue share based on their verified experience tier: 70% (junior), 75% (mid) or 80% (senior). Fresh Chapter retains the remainder to cover payment processing, hosting, support and marketing. Payouts are made to your connected payout account on the schedule shown in your coach portal, once identity and payout onboarding is complete. Refunds issued under our Refund Policy are deducted from current or future payouts.

Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the materials you create. You grant Fresh Chapter a non-exclusive licence to display your profile, photo, bio and listing details for the purpose of matching and promoting your practice on the platform.

Suspension and termination

Either party may end this agreement at any time. Fresh Chapter may suspend or remove a listing immediately for credential problems, client-safety concerns, or repeated no-shows. On termination we help transition scheduled clients and settle any payout balance owed to you.
