What's happening
I'm 40, I'm the founder of Fresh Chapter, and I've been diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor — a pNET. It's rare: pNETs account for under 2% of all tumors found in the pancreas.
In late October 2026 I'm having a distal pancreatectomy to remove it. Surgeons will take the tail of my pancreas. The good news, as things stand today, is that they expect to be able to save my spleen. Things can still change between now and the operating room, and I'll say so here if they do.
Then it's roughly 6 weeks before I can work properly again — no lifting, limited driving, and a slow build back to a full day on my feet.
Fresh Chapter is a one-person operation behind the scenes. When I stop, it stops.

Being straight with you
This is one fund, for one purpose. There used to be several separate asks on this site — a platform fund, a coach fund, and a page about giving 10% of revenue back out. Asking four different ways at once was confusing and, honestly, a bit much. So it's one ask now, and this is it.
Fresh Chapter is a business, not a registered charity, so contributions are not tax-deductible. They're support for a small company getting through a hard stretch, and I'd rather say that plainly than dress it up.
