What membership actually gets you
Fresh Chapter is built for the stretch where life is genuinely hard — burnout, grief, a health scare, money pressure, caregiving, a relationship ending, or a season where nothing feels like it fits any more. Membership is free to start, and it opens three things at once: coach matching, the practical toolkit (plans, calendars, reminders and the co-parenting tools if you need them), and a private space to keep track of how you are actually doing week to week. You are not signing up for a course or a feed of advice. You are getting matched with a person who has walked other people through the same stretch.
Matching takes three questions because that is genuinely enough to start. We ask what you are working on, how you like to be supported, and where you are based. From there we rank the coaches whose experience lines up with your situation and who are available now, rather than showing you a directory of hundreds of profiles and leaving you to guess. If the first match is not right, you can ask for another one at any time — there is no penalty and no awkward conversation required.
How the three steps work
Step one — your profile. Your name, your email and what you want help with. That is the whole form. Nothing about your situation is public, and nothing is shared with a coach until you send them a request yourself.
Step two — your matches. You see a short, ranked list with each coach's focus areas, years of experience, languages and availability. Licensed clinicians show the jurisdictions they are licensed in, so you always know whether you are booking a coach or a licensed professional before you say a word.
Step three — your first request. Two or three sentences about what is going on. Your coach replies in your Fresh Chapter inbox and we email you the moment they do. Most first replies land within a day.
Who joins Fresh Chapter
Members arrive from every direction. Some are burnt out at work and cannot switch off. Some are grieving, caring for a parent, recovering from illness, or rebuilding after a money shock. Some are in the middle of a separation and need a way to handle schedules and handovers without a fight every fortnight. Plenty are simply stuck — sleeping badly, moving less, drifting from friends — and want one person in their corner while they get a normal week back.
Coaching here is practical and forward-looking. It is not therapy and it is not legal advice, and any coach worth their fee will tell you plainly when you need a therapist or a lawyer instead — several members work with all three at once.
Common questions before you join
Does it cost anything to join? No. Creating an account, getting matched and sending your first request are free. Sessions are paid to your coach at the rate shown on their profile, and premium membership bundles sessions with the full toolkit, including the co-parenting features.
Is my information private? Yes. Journals, messages and session notes are visible only to you and the coach you choose to work with. Nothing you write is used to train models or shown to other members.
Can I use this outside the United States? Coaching is available worldwide and many coaches work across time zones and languages. Licensed clinicians are limited to the jurisdictions they hold a licence in, and that is shown on every profile.
What if I am not ready to talk to anyone? Start anyway. You can create the account, keep a private journal, use the calendar, reminder and messaging tools, and send a coaching request whenever you want. Nobody chases you.
